My first real foray in sculpture/prop making....

In an attempt to learn how to sculpt props,

 this summer I started making a costume of this character from an online webcomic.

 Here are some images showing the process I took to make the horns for this costume.

Horns cut from insulation foam and sanded - holes filled with paper clay (probably not the best idea)

Size comparison & horns painted with gesso

Recently completed horns - painted & covered in a clear coat of plasti dip

This project was started in early August and just finished today while I was home

for the Labor Day weekend.
